Everything people ask about the nail oil pen, the routine, and getting it to your door.
No, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. This is a cosmetic oil: how fast your nails grow is set by your body, not what's on the outside. What it does do is nourish and condition your cuticles and support the look and feel of your natural nails while they grow, so a consistent routine keeps them hydrated and looking healthier along the way.
Everyone's nails are different. The routine is designed as a 12-week ritual: I document my own grow-back week by week so you can see honest, unfiltered progress rather than a promise.
It's the exact swap that worked for me after years of biting. Bitter deterrents punish the habit; the pen replaces it: something to reach for instead, with visible micro-progress to keep you going.
Three steps, about fifteen seconds. Twist the base of the pen until a little oil beads on the brush tip. Swipe once along the cuticle of each nail and across the bare nail itself. Then massage it in with your thumb for a few seconds per hand, so it sinks in rather than sitting on top. Morning and night is the routine.
One thing worth knowing on day one: a brand new pen needs priming, so expect 20 to 30 twists before the oil first reaches the brush. It is not faulty, it is just the oil making its way up. After that a single twist is usually enough.
Less than you would think. One light swipe per nail is plenty: you want the cuticle looking slightly dewy, not wet. More oil does not condition any better, it just ends up on your clothes and empties the pen faster. If your hands still feel greasy a minute after massaging it in, ease off next time.
Whenever you will actually remember. Most people settle on after their morning routine and last thing before bed, and bedtime is the better of the two because it gets hours to sit undisturbed. Apply after washing your hands rather than before, and straight after a shower is ideal while the skin around the nail is still soft. If some days you only manage once, make it the night one.
A few small habits made the biggest difference for me. File in one direction rather than sawing back and forth, and file instead of cutting while the nail is still fragile. Keep them short for the first few weeks, because short nails do not catch and tear. Wear gloves for washing up and cleaning, since detergent and hot water undo a lot of the conditioning. And photograph your hands every week or two: nails move slowly enough that you will not notice day to day, and those photos are what kept me going.
Yes. Our oil is organically certified, vegan and cruelty-free, and it's made, packed and shipped from Brisbane, Australia.
Each pen holds 3ml, nearly double a standard 1.8ml pharmacy pen, and lasts about a month of twice-daily swipes. The Trio covers the full 12-week routine.
A light, natural scent from the essential oils themselves: lemon, lavender and tea tree. No synthetic fragrance.
Yes: swipe along the cuticle and nail edge. It cares for the skin and the new growth underneath; oil won't penetrate a painted surface.
Orders dispatch from Brisbane and typically arrive in 2 to 6 business days Australia-wide with Australia Post, tracking included.

It depends on which one you will actually use. A bottle gives you more millilitres for your money and suits a slow evening routine at home. A pen costs more per millilitre but lives in your bag, so it gets used twice a day. Consistency does more for a grow-back than the size of the bottle sitting on your shelf. I wrote up all three formats in pen vs bottle vs hardener.
A hardener is a paint-on coating that makes nails feel instantly harder, which is useful before an event. Two things to know: nails can end up feeling hard but less flexible, and a hardener does nothing for the cuticle, which is where new growth starts. An oil and a hardener are doing different jobs, so it is not really either or.
In practice they are the same category, just named differently. Both are oils you apply to the nail and the skin around it. Ours is applied to the cuticle and across the bare nail, twice a day, which is where the conditioning does the most good.
